Olami UCLA is an on-campus club for Jewish Bruins, which creates spaces, opportunities, and experiences that enable us to grow in goodness together.

Shabbat dinners

A real warm Shabbat experience. Join the Benadys on Friday night for Rachel delicious homemade challah, traditional Jewish delicacies, singing, schmoozing and loads of fun!

Rachel Benady

Raquel Horowitz

Samuel serves as a Rabbi at Olami UCLA.
He focuses on fostering community and building relationships. His role allows him to support students in their personal and spiritual growth, helping them navigate their paths and succeed in all the various aspects of their lives.
Born in Gibraltar, and went on to attend some of the most respected Talmudical colleges on the globe. His experience and approach, in making others a feel empowered makes him highly unique!

Rachel serves as the Rabanit at Olami UCLA.

Growing up in the UK, she built up a personal training businness, and loves promoting health and wellness.

She has a deep passion for hosting guests, where she demonstrates her exquisite talent in preparing lavish and delicious food. Rachel warmth and hospitality will surely create a home away from home for every student on campus!

Raquel Horowitz serves as the student Director.

Growing up in Miami and then moving to LA with her husband after spending 2 years in Israel, gave her the vital experience and knowledge to connect, enhance and empower the masses.

Her unique Jewish journey inspires many and improves their lives with her wisdom, passion and understanding. Here home is always open with delicious food, awesome company and incredble vibes!
